Ducks
Pacific Black ducks feed and nest in and around the creek. Here is a mother duck with her seven ducklings
Darter
Darters are sometimes known as snake birds because of their long snake-like neck. The use the creek to hunt for fish and crustaceans and can be seen holding their wings out to dry on logs and rocks at the creek bank.
Fruit Bats
Fruit bats (or flying foxes) roost during the day time in the mangroves. Here they rest and socialise while regaining their energy to prepare for their nightly jaunt through the Brisbane suburbs.
